I woke up early. I always do when it's just me as the adult in the house. I lay in bed for half an hour before I get myself up and moving at 6:30 am.
I get dressed.
Make the bed, clean up the bedroom. Our bedroom is super large; it takes up one full side of the house upstairs. Because it is so big, it is a run around zone and is often filled with toys and pillow forts and other fun things.
I collect the trash from upstairs and take it to the curb. Today is trash day.
I take in a few peaceful minutes around the yard before Orli wakes up. It is a beautiful morning.
Mailbox flowers are in bloom still and so cheerful.
7 am rolls around, so I wake up Orli. Meow joins me. Those two have such a love/annoyance relationship with one another.
We give Meow a few pets before we head downstairs for breakfast.
Breakfast is yogurt. Also some granola and fruit which she requested "on the side" but then didn't eat any of. Oh to be three and so fickle.
Since I'm not eating so early in the morning, I prep her bag while she eats and we chat.
And she bounces.
And I clean cat barf off the rug.
Orli plays in the dirt for five minutes before we have to go.
Today's accessories are cardboard glasses we got at a Purim Festival, a dress up bangle, and the rim of a mason jar that had been run over by a car (I wonder who left it at the top of the driveway, hrm?) and was nice and flat. So chic.
Traffic was a beast today and what normally takes us 25 minutes took us an hour and 10 minutes. And we took all the secret GPS short cuts. Friends who did not have GPS assistance were stuck in traffic for over two hours. So I'm thankful for TomTom.
But we did make it to the other side of town and I dropped Orli off at preschool and made it to the JCC.
Someone has been nibbling my strawberry.
The skies were beautiful today.
My beans are starting to blossom.
Peaceful garden shot. The geese ate my pinwheels.
I have to walk all the way around the building to get to the faucet with the water key. I managed to get sprayed by the water today. It was quite hot outside, though -- so it was refreshing!
Nap time was ended early thanks to a replay of a little virus that seems to be going around the preschool. Not a big deal, really, but runny poops in bed mean lots of work for Mommies. Girl was cleaned up, bathed, sheets were changed, things were washed, bathroom floor was bleached because you know that gets everywhere. My hands were washed probably a half a dozen times. A pair of underwear was lost in the carnage.
Some cartoons and hydration. One more loose stool (in the potty this time, thankfully!) and she was good as new. That seems to be the trend with this virus.
We go outside and she wants to take selfies together, but mainly of her.
She was in rare form, and actually wanted me to photograph her. Usually she runs the other way when she sees the camera.
Playing in the dirt loses its charm after awhile, especially since the neighbor kids aren't at home. Its 90 today, so we pull on the swimsuit and play in the sprinkler.
And do bubbles.
And have a bland picnic dinner for girls with tummy bugs.
Speaking of tummies, mine is feeling pretty gross, so we head to CVS for some Zantac. I've never taken it before, but desperate times call for desperate measures. (It worked well -- I felt silly for waiting so long to grab some. I am such a sufferer). Sparkle Sister the stuffed cat came with us to CVS. In a cup. Of course.
As a reward for being so awesome at the drug store, and to celebrate Girls Night (we had planned a big date, but the Tummy Bug threw us off) we did manicures. She picked out some polish at CVS (a jar of purple and a jar of glitter) and we went to town. I didn't paint her thumbs because she still sucks them.
After a bit more time outside, we head in for teeth brushing and bath.
But of course we have to build a cave under her bed, first.
And then we wash, and brush, and stories and bed. For everyone. Exhausting and full of love and joy. So glad Andy will be back home tomorrow.

Whew! I'm tired just reading all that!!!! Loved seeing it. Your house is gorgeous and I love your cute outfit. You got some really great shots I think. :)
